Arabic 101 – Level 1 – Reading and Writing

Welcome to Arabic 101

In this level, you will learn Arabic from scratch.
This course combines reading and writing in the Arabic language with six basic fundamentals;
- Huroof – Arabic Letters (4 sessions)
- Harakat – Arabic Vowels (4 sessions)
- Tanween – Implied Noon (4 sessions)
- Madd – Stretch (4 sessions)
- Sukoon – Resting Sound (4 sessions)
- Shaddah – Emphasis (4 sessions)
Each concept consists of:
- Reading exercises
- Writing exercises
- Practice with dictation
The complete course will take:
- 24 sessions
- 12 weeks
- 3 months

Welcome to Arabic 201

If you haven’t taken Arabic 101, then please do so, as it is a prerequisite for this course.
In this course, you will learn the most basic, but foundational lessons in Arabic grammar.
Though they are basics, but they are the bedrock of Arabic language, and one cannot learn the Arabic language without them. The contents of this course are as follows:
- Lesson 1 – Types of words in Arabic – (4 sessions)
- Lesson 2 – Definiteness – (3 sessions)
- Lesson 3 – Femininity – (3 sessions)
- Lesson 4 – Plurality – (4 sessions)
- Lesson 5 – Cases – (7 sessions)
- Lesson 6 – Adjective – (4 sessions)
- Lesson 7 – Ascription – (4 sessions)
- Lesson 8 – Detached Pronouns – (2 sessions)
- Lesson 9 – Past Tense – (4 sessions)
- Lesson 10 – Verbal Sentence – (5 sessions)

- Lesson 13 – Interrogative Particles – (4 sessions)

Welcome to Arabic 301

If you haven’t taken Arabic 101 and Arabic 201, then please do so, as they are prerequisites for this course.
In this course, we will develop our comprehension of the Arabic language by reading 72 lesson from the popular Al-Arabiyah Bayna Yadayk Book series.
This level is designed in a way to comprise of reading, understanding, conversation and vocabularies.
The lessons will go hand in hand with additional 7 lessons in Arabic grammar to enhance understanding.
Each lesson consists of:
- Reading of the lesson
- Understanding the content and vocabularies of each lesson
- Exercises and questions on each lesson
- Practical exercises on Arabic conversation
- Exams
The course outline is as follows:

- Lesson 10-17 (10 sessions)
- Lesson 19-26 (8 sessions)

If you haven’t taken Arabic 101 and Arabic 201 and Arabic 301, then please do so, as they are prerequisites for this course.
In this course, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself completely in the Arabic experience.
By now, you have developed enough Arabic knowledge to start communicating in Arabic language ONLY. Yes, that means that you will not be able to speak English at all in the class.
